I guide you through Bulgaria’s most significant Thracian tombs and sanctuaries, revealing their rituals, beliefs, and remarkable artistic achievements. Many of the sites included here also appear in my Ancient Bulgaria Tour and form an essential part of the Private UNESCO Tour in Bulgaria, but this itinerary allows for a much deeper and more focused exploration.

Day 1 - Visit to the Thracian temple and burial complex near Starosel, one of the most impressive Thracian sites in Bulgaria.

Day 2 - Visits to the tombs in the Valley of the Thracian Kings near Kazanlak, including the famous UNESCO-listed tomb, followed by the Thracian tomb in Alexandrovo.

Day 3 - Visits to Tatul, a major Thracian sanctuary associated with the cult of Orpheus, and the Thracian tomb in Mezek village.

Day 4 - Visit to the megalithic dolmen near Hliabovo, dating back more than 3,000 years.
