Sveshtari Thracian tomb and Ivanovo rock churches private tour

Day 1: Visit to the Thracian Tomb in Sveshtari dating back to the III c. BC. Discovered in 1982 near the village of Sveshtari, this Thracian tomb reflects the fundamental structural principles of Thracian cult buildings and is the most amazing sample of the ancient Thracian culture.

Day 2: Visit to the Ivanovo rock churches located in picturesque river valley 23 kilometers south-west of the city of Rousse. As if striving to be closer to God, hermit monks settled here, digging cells, churches and chapels into the rocks. Talented artists painted them with realistic frescoes, exquisite in color and composition, and turned them into a treasure trove of Bulgarian medieval painting.
