Cape Kaliakra & Yailata Tour – Private Day Trip from Varna

Morning visit to Cape Kaliakra, one of the most scenic places along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The narrow rocky peninsula stretches deep into the sea, revealing the remains of a medieval fortress, the well-known legend of the “40 maidens” and wide open views over the cliffs and the water below.

The area is also rich in wildlife and is part of the Via Pontica migration route, making it a good place for birdwatching, especially in the autumn.

In the afternoon, continue to Yailata – a quiet seaside reserve with a very different atmosphere. Here you can explore cave dwellings dating back to ancient times, rock-cut tombs, remains of early settlements and the ruins of a Byzantine fortress overlooking the sea.

The combination of history, nature and dramatic coastal scenery makes this one of the most distinctive day trips from Varna.
